Where could sunlight support more compute?
Two sources, every site
We size against two satellite records, not one.
At our three validation points, NASA POWER and PVGIS SARAH2 differ by 7 to 20 percent in annual sunlight. Every Combine sizing is tested against both, so a sunny estimate never decides a design on its own.

Data and Method
Ground figures are global horizontal irradiation, the solar energy arriving on a horizontal surface, in kWh/m²/day, from NASA POWER's ALLSKY_SFC_SW_DWN climatology (2001 to 2020 monthly and annual means, satellite-derived SYN1DEG data, about 1° grid). The darkest month is the lowest of the twelve monthly means. The validation comparison uses PVGIS v5.2 typical meteorological years (SARAH2). Retrieved 16 September and 2 November 2026.
